Whimsical winter wedding

I first made Kelly & Leon in the early days, 2009 I think, they booked me way in advance for their winter wedding at Hotel Van Dyk in Derbyshire. If you follow the Whimsical Wonderland Weddings blog, you may have been following Kelly’s wedding planning journey in the real brides features and you can see more details and stuff HERE. December weddings can typically be really beautiful weather wise, people often mistakenly think winter weddings have horrible wet weather where it rains all day….unfortunately this was to be one of those weather days! But no matter what the weather does, you can always make something nice, there is always an opportunity. More importantly than that, when the weather is really shitting it down, I remind my couples of one thing….you’re marrying the person you love, that’s all that matters. pink wedding shoes Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Hotel Van Dyk wedding Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Whimsical wedding photographer Kelly will definitely tell you that her Vera Wang wedding dress also mattered. Lovely wedding and beautiful photos. Well done!

One of my fave weddings of 2012 and lovliest brides to work with.
The whole day has been captured beautifully – Job well done Jone!! Kelly & Leon you must be so proud!! 🙂

Beautiful set of images, really love the first shot of the couple under the lights in the trees. Was the vicar really that strict!?!

It took major persuasion to be able to take any photos! In the end I got permission to shoot from the roof

Haha I’ve not had the pleasure of such an official, but well done for the sniper shots!

Lovely work – what a great venue!
