London Boat Wedding

At the end of August I had a bit of a marathon weekend of 3 weddings all around the country. Nic and Ed’s wedding was the second wedding of that weekend, so after Friday’s wedding at Sheffield Band Stand I drove straight down to the centre of London arriving around 1am ! Things kicked off bright and early at Chiswick for Nic’s getting ready shots and then we all (tried) to grab a cab to the ceremony at Hammersmith Church…..I think we made it with about 1 minute to go! After that it was down to Putney Pier to jump on a boat to go sailing down the Thames for the rest of the day and night. It was definitely a hard wedding as there was sooooo much to shoot! But I think the fact that this is my biggest blog post to date just says it all really. For the photographers, all the night shots are handheld using available light (I’m a brave man on a moving boat!) Fantastic, another GREAT wedding from you Jon, and what a great day! Congratulations to Nic and Ed! xxx

Great set Jon as usual, love the London Eye one with the bird flying through…very Bresson!
That last one’s a great shot though, I’m surprised it turned out sharp as I think my knees were about to give out!!

Simply awesome!!

From the dress shot and the Kiss in the church, all the way through to the late night celebrations. Well done.

This looks like an awesome wedding! Well captured all the way through!

WOW, so many great images but I have to say the church ones totally jump out at me, well done!

The nighttime scenes are wonderful. Great storytelling.

What an awesome place to have a reception. Jealous.
You captured it perfectly. Love it.

My favorite is kind of random, but I love how you took a shot of the guests faces as the bride and groom are coming out. Very unique photo that not many photogs think to get!

You have no idea how jealous I am of the boat reception! Great work capturing it.

Beautifully captured – looked like an amazing day… superb!

That looks like it was a blast! I love the portraits where you incorporated the landmarks, especially the London Eye (It really looks better from the river 🙂 You are a brave man with great timing to get such wonderful compositions from a moving boat. Cheers!
